Three directional signs, 199 x 12 cm each, 2018

I created this work of art for the Academiae Biennial 2018 in Bolzano under the theme ‘Where Plato Thaught’.

The project ‘’Disorientation’’ consists of 3 directional signs printed with the words ‘’Challenge’’, ‘’Somewhere
in Between’’ and ‘’Comfort Zone’’.

In my project I wanted to make an ironic and poetic reference to Plato and his teachings, as well as to the
spirit of competition among the European art universities, classes and students participating in the youth art
biennale in which I created my work.

I placed the Challenge sign towards the exhibition space, the Comfort Zone sign towards nature and the
Somewhere in between sign facing the sky.

The directional signage was designed in accordance with the signage in and around Bolzano, where the bien-
nial took place.
