Ezgi Böttger is born in 1983 Istanbul. After she studied cinema and media at Academy Istanbul in Turkey, she moved to Germany.

She is graduated from State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, Department of Sculpture in 2018 and she holds a postgraduate degree in Fine Art from the State Academy of Fine Art Stuttgart with Christian Jankowski & Valerie Hammerbacher in 2023. Her works have shown in various Bienalle such as Istanbul Bienalle, Sinopale, ACADEMIAE Youth Art Biennale.

She was recipient of a scholarship 2015 in Saint Moritz Academy in Switzerland and 2017 at Culture academy Tarabya inIstanbul, Turkey. She was nominated for an art award in 2016 at Radolfzell, Bodensee Germany and in 2018 she received one for her work ‘Thus spoke the animal‘ and have been exhibited at the Stuttgarter Info Screens.

In 2021 she was in Top 20 in art contest Miss Kunst at Bad Wonders in Gemany and In the Dialog exhibition competition held within the scope of Culture days Thalwil held in Zürich, it was placed in the top three in the Jury voting and in the last public vote, she won the first place with her work ‘Thus spoke the animal’.

Ezgi Böttger lives and works in Istanbul, Stuttgart and Berlin.
